Norway and the success of electric cars.

We are used to seeing how electric conduction grows at increasingly levels. The alternative automotive industry continues to be a pattern that makes us believe that it is fundamental to our journeys, but its rate of growth still seems too slow. The problem of nonproliferation starts from the premise of different problems.

On one hand, traditional manufacturers have not yet opted for this strategic branch. Even thought they are making greater investments in electrification and production processes dependent on it, it is still insufficient knowing how manufacturers like Tesla are already making themselves with the market. The Administration also has its share of fault. If the manufacturers do not produce these models because they are not profitable due to the lack of economies of scale, why does not aid from the State contribute to the cause? Nevertheless, there is a country that is showing what is needed to be done to help with this situation: Norway.

Sustainability is a debate that was put on the table a few years ago in the Scandinavian country. After presenting proposals to mitigate climate change, it was deduced that the key point was to reconvert mobility. The dependence on oil, in a few years, would take its toll, so they decided to act. That successful decision is currently giving its positive outcome. After the end of 2017,it has achieved a market share of 52% of the total. This means that, once again, it has been possible to set a new world record in alternative car commercialization.

Many factors makes Norway as the perfect frame for this success: public subsidies, tax incentives and per capita income highlighted. If we group the data during the last 12 months, we can see how the electricity market in Norway is going from strength to strength. The Tesla Model S, throughout 2017, recorded up to 3,712 deliveries. Similarly, the crossover of the firm was sold up to 4,748 units, surpassing the sedan of the brand.

Neither Tesla rate nor increase tax pressure on the electric car, Norway is still committed to ecomobility. A few weeks ago it was speculated on the possible imposition of quotas on the most expensive models, but this measure has been ruled out by the possible fall in the sales of the most alternative premium market.
